Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide
It’s a fantastic site that has a massive members area containing extremely up to date information on everything to do with Levelling from 1 to 80, plus a comprehensive gold guide.
What makes World of Warcraft so attractive is that you get to connect with millions of players just like yourself and interact on a daily basis. You can either cooperate with them or fight them often it’s your choice. When you start with Warcraft of Warcraft you have to decide which type of server you would like to connect to there are four types of WoW servers.
If you are just looking for a fun game then you should stick with either normal (PVE) or RP servers if however you would like a greater challenge jump into a PVP server we must defend yourself against every other player whenever you see them this can be both very stressful but very very exciting. Don’t worry though if you start on a PVP server there are areas where you will be very safe while you build your experience before venturing out to go questing to find gold and unique items.
- Player versus player (PVP) servers — you always have to defend yourself against players from another faction.
- Normal role playing (RP) servers — this is where you will deep play your character for example if you are a dwarf you talk and act like one when chatting to other players
- RP — PDP servers — you do deep play and must defend yourself
- Normal servers — you don’t deep play and you don’t need to defend yourself unless you turn PVP on manually these also known as PVE servers.
Once you’ve found your ideal server, and keep in mind you can create multiple characters on any server, it is time for it you to decide on your faction. There are two factions: Alliance and Horde. In the original World of Warcraft game each faction has four different races to choose from once you choose your faction you cannot change once you’re in the game you will need to create a new character to play on the other faction.
The Alliance faction is made up of:
- Humans
- Gnomes
- Dwarves
- Night Elf
- Draenei (The Burning Crusade)
The Horde faction is made up of:
- Orc
- Tauren
- Troll
- Undead
- Blood Elves (The Buring Crusade)
Since the release of the original World of Warcraft there have been two expansion packs that add in additional races, classes and professions. You can read more about them in The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lilich King pages.
Each faction have their own capitial cities and specific lands that belong to it, these are the places that you can feel very safe in if you are playing on a PVP server. It is in these capital cities and lands that you’ll find other faction players going about questing and looking for gold and it is these players you can also assist in the more difficult quests in dungeons, instances and raids.
Once you have decided on your faction and the race that you wish to play in you’ll also need to decide on the class there are a large number of classes in WoW
Rogue Guide: a sneaky thief who does high damage up close. Upside: Rogues can make lots of gold picking pockets, and they top the damage charts. Downside: Because you’re fighting up close and you wear leather, you can die a lot.
Hunter Guide: a long-range fighter who does middle to high damage. Upside: Hunters are great survivalists and can have a pet to fight by their side. Downside: Everyone rolls a hunter and so the things you want have lots of competition.
Druid Guide: a shapeshifter who can heal or do damage, depending on how you tailor the character. Upside: Druids are very versatile so they’re fun to quest with. Downside: In the endgame, druids often get forced into healing roles.
Priest Guide: speaking of healing roles… priests are healers. Upside: Priests are very popular and everyone wants them around. Downside: Healing is intense work and other players might blame you if the quest fails.
Warrior Guide: Warriors do low damage while being able to take a lot of hits. Upside: You will also be very popular in group situations. Downside: Warriors with high armor do lower damage, which makes it harder to quest.
Mage Guide: You deal heavy damage with ice, fire, and arcane spells. Upside: Mages do crazy damage and can polymorph other players during PVP. Downside: All that crazy damage and no way to mitigate it gets you killed…a lot.
Warlock Guide: Warlocks channel dark magic spells like fear, seduction, and curses. Upside: You get a demon pet to help you level, and your character is pretty versatile and great for PVP. Downside: Warlocks do damage over the long term, so they don’t top damage charts.
Paladin Guide: A healer who wears plate mail. Upside: You are practically indestructible. Downside: You’re a “hybrid” class, so many people don’t know how to use you in a group setting.
Sharman Guide: The Sharman acts as the spiritual leader of their tribes and use spells and totems to aid their allies while in battle and unleash the elements on their opponents.
Death Night Guide: The Death Knight is World of Warcraft’s first ‘hero’ class relased in WOTLK. The Death Knight is a hybrid warrior / magic user and offers all the benefits of plate-wearing tanks with all the excitement of using dark magic to inflict massive amounts of pain on your enemies. The great part of this class if you do not have to start at zero. As soon as you reach level 55 with any other character, you can start at that level with a Death Knight.
So hurry up and get leveling!
Now you just have to choose a name and away you go! The name you choose can’t be already taken on your server, so try to think of something unusual. When you start, you should look for the non-player characters (NPCs) with the gold exclamation points over their heads. They send you on quests and when you complete them, you get experience (to go from level one to level two, etc.), money, and items to equip. All other people you see running around are player characters (PCs) and they are real people.
Leveling way to slow? Want to get to level 80 quickly? Do you need gold to buy your epic mounts and get rare items?
If you don’t own the Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide then you are missing out.
The Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide is updated regularly and is an essential guide which includes both Horde and Alliance power leveling guides, 200g+/hour gold guide, professions guide, beginners guide, class talent / gear guide, macro guide and more.

Nice one! If I could write like this I would be well chuffed. The more I see articles of such quality as this (which is rare), the more I think there could be a future for the Web. Keep it up, as it were.
I was actually diagnosed for a gaming dependancy because of World of Warcraft. I began 2 years back, and even purchased things like a horde guide to help me to level up in WoW. It slowly took over my complete life, and to chop a long story short, my family had to bring me to the doctor. It is now 4 months since my treatment began, and I really feel fully weaned off the game. World of Warcraft is enjoyable, but I really advise not to start it when you’re someone with weak will-power like myself. Simply thought I’d share.
